NPH welcomed residents to another successful Engagement Café
Residents and had the opportunity to speak directly with our staff and partner organisations at our latest Engagement Café on 6 August.
The event brought together teams from across NPH, giving attendees the chance to discuss a wide range of topics and receive support and advice on the day. Representatives from the local neighbourhood policing team were also on hand to answer community safety questions, alongside NPH’s Executive Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive, Winston Williams.
NPH manage a number of apartment blocks across the town centre so Building Safety Manager, Stephen, was there to answer any queries relating to block safety. He helped address a number of resident enquiries including the report of a potentially unsafe tree, quality assurance around block repairs and a question around a commercial premises situated within one of the blocks.
One visitor attended on behalf of an NPH tenant to discuss several issues affecting their local area, including environmental concerns, littering, the bin store and a lift query.
They said:
“I’ve come to the engagement café on behalf of my service user who is an NPH tenant. I’ve come to speak about some environmental concerns, littering, the bin store and a lift query. I’ve managed to chat through all of those concerns today with the relevant teams. This is a great format and I’ve found it useful. I would recommend tenants and interested parties to attend future events like this.”
The Engagement Café provides an informal and welcoming space for residents to raise concerns, ask questions and speak directly with the people who can help. By bringing together colleagues from different services in one place, issues can often be discussed and progressed more quickly.
This event continues to be a key part of how we connect with residents, gather insight and improve services. Alongside this, initiatives such as our new ‘Get Involved and Influence us’ quarterly newsletter are helping to encourage residents to have their say.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to all colleagues who helped deliver another successful event.
