Stock Condition Survey Winter 2025

Published On: December 22, 2025By

NPH and our consultants, Ark Consultancy and NXN Surveying, are about to carry out Stock Condition Surveys for some of our managed homes. The programme’s aim is to conduct the surveys within the next 4 months (up to 31 March 2026) for properties that haven’t had a stock condition survey in the last two years.

The survey involves assessing the condition of our residents’ homes, to help us plan what is needed to make future improvements.

The survey must be carried out to comply with the Regulator for Social Housing requirements; the Government’s ‘Decent Homes Standards’ and Health and Safety Regulations. Participation from all tenants will ensure we continue to comply with these requirements and help us maintain and improve the quality of all NPH managed homes.

What is a Stock Condition Survey?

The Survey is a visual inspection carried out in person by a qualified surveyor within the home to assess its condition against the Governments Decent Homes Standard. The results will help us prepare for future planned improvement works to the homes we manage.

Who will be carrying out the survey?

NPH has contracted a specialist surveying company Ark Consulting/NXN surveying, to carry out the Stock Condition Surveys on our behalf. They will send a qualified surveyor to visit our tenant’s home.

When will the survey be carried out?

Either Ark Consulting/NXN surveying will be in contact with tenants directly to arrange a suitable appointment.
