We deliver planned investment to our homes and neighbourhoods across Northampton. This includes refurbishing and modernising homes, as well as developing new homes and spaces for the community.

Redevelopment of garage sites in Blackthorn

Northampton Partnership Homes are proposing to submit a number of planning applications for new homes across Blackthorn. The sites of these plans are on under utilised garage blocks in the area.

The location of these proposed developments are:

Work has begun onsite at Thorplands:

  • External works to homes
  • Landscaping work to communal areas

External Work

Work has now started to refurbish homes in the area. 

This will include: 

  • new cladding,
  • windows,
  • doors,
  • and rainwater goods


Landscaping work on communal gardens of flats will be starting shortly in North Holme Court and Great Holme Court

Further work is taking place to improve waste management for the flats.

New developments

NPH are reviewing garages and parking areas as well as proposing new homes and local retail space on the former Tanners pub site.


Briar Hill

Redevelopment of garage sites and other sites in Briar Hill

Northampton Partnership Homes (NPH) are applying for planning permission to redevelop a number of local garage blocks and small sites in Briar Hill for affordable housing.

The location of these proposed developments are at

  • Garage site at Ringway (Garage no’s 3-8) and land adjacent to 1 Ringway
  • Garage site at Ringway (Garage no’s 23-34)
  • Garage site at Southwood Hill (Garage no’s 19-26)
  • Garage site at Southwood Hill (Garage no’s 39-46)
  • Garage site at The Briars (Garage no’s 51-59)
  • Open space opposite 62-67 Ringway


Camp Hill

We are currently gathering opinion from local residents in Camp Hill about Planned Works to homes in the area.

We are refurbishing existing homes and building new homes at Toms Close in Collingtree.

Phase 1

Refurbishment of three existing homes. Lovell have been appointed as the contractor.

Work has started on site.

Phase 2

Construction of 21 new homes. Planning has been approved.

We are looking to submit a number of planning applications to build 12 new homes in Eastfield. We aim to make use of under-used garage sites in the area.

Following a public consultation on the 22nd March we are making changes to the plans and will publish revised plans in this location once available.




Plans to create 40 family apartments at Overslade House have been approved.

The plans will involve structural alterations to the existing building:

  • Building a new third floor accommodation
  • Creating ground floor accommodation which include accessible homes designed for people with disabilities
  • Creating additional parking, including six accessible parking spaces by the entrance
  • Building a Children’s play area
  • Landscaping gardens, including raised beds and drying areas
  • Adding outside balconies on upper floors
Kings Heath

Refurbishment works are well underway in Kings Heath.

Phase 1

Phase 1 is nearing completion. This includes creating winter gardens for balconies, modernised balconies and windows.

Phase 2

Phase 2 is due to start in January 2018. Keepmoat Regeneration have been appointed and planning has been approved.


New Development

In Lakeview NPH have commissioned Keepmoat Regeneration to build a new older persons housing scheme. 

This scheme will include 45 new homes, attractive outdoor space and parking facilities.

Work on the construction has started and is expected to be completed by December 2018.

Spring Boroughs

At Spring Boroughs NPH is working with our partners Willmott Dixon and Keepmoat Regeneration on a number of developments.

These include building:

  • 14 three bedroom and 2 four bedroom houses
  • 9 two bedroom maisonettes with private terraced gardens
  • 9 one bedroom apartments
  • and a replacement shop in Little Cross Street

We are delighted that families have now moved into their new homes in Scarletwell and Lower Bath Courts. Take a look at the video above to see how we got to this milestone.

We are also making improvements in the area:

  • extensive landscaping to include additional parking, bike and bin storage, play areas and a green gym
  • refurbishment works to apartment blocks and houses
