Happy To Help CIC

Who we are

Happy To Help is a social enterprise subsidiary of NPH. Our aim is to improve the health, wellbeing, economy, environment and availability of opportunity to the benefit of NPH residents and their communities.

We do this in a number of ways:

  • Helping vulnerable and struggling residents by providing basic personal items such as food, hygiene and cleaning products.
  • Helping some of our residents with furniture, carpets and white goods to assist their tenancies to start well.
  • Providing volunteering  and training opportunities to assist with confidence, skills or keeping people active and included.
  • Giving small grants and support for residents and community groups.
  • Developing services that fill local gaps in provision.

What’s the Community Ideas Fund?

Got an idea to help where you live? Maybe it doesn’t cost much but you don’t want to spend ages filling out forms or handling money.

Maybe you know of a community group or club where you live that could do some good work with a small amount of funding. Maybe you just need some help, advice and support to get a club or group up and running in your neighbourhood.

We want to hear from you!

What’s the idea?

Our Community Ideas Fund is aimed at helping you and your neighbourhoods do something positive for your community. We’ll fund groups or purchase items on your behalf up to a value of £250. Some examples might be

  • Buying tools for a community allotment
  • Providing equipment for local youth club
  • Sponsoring a kids football team
  • Helping with the costs of hiring a meeting room for your residents group
  • Contributing towards the cost of a community event

But it’s not just about the money!

Payments will only be made to constituted groups (those groups that have a set of written rules and bank account.

Where individuals and non-constituted groups are applying to the fund, Happy To Help will instead pay for items or services on your behalf.

You might have a great idea that costs very little but need some help organising volunteers, printing flyers, getting your neighbours together or maybe setting up a group or club. We can help with these things too.

How do you get the ball rolling?

Don’t worry if you’ve not applied for funding before – we want to make it as easy as possible.

If it’s an idea that we think we could help with, we’ll work with you to see if we can make it happen.
